Becky, Emily and I took a spontaneous trip to New Hampshire a couple months ago. We found out on August 11th that my brother Kris was going to be up there for almost 2 weeks starting on August 14th so we decided to go too. We packed up rather quickly the night of the 11th and we left around 10am on the 12th. Not to bad if you ask me! The drive was supposed to take 16 hours so we thought we would get there around 2am on the 13th but with all the construction and traffic problems we didn't get there until 4:30am. Emily did great the entire trip. We really didn't even know she was back there. She just played with her toys and listened to her little musical fish tank thing and slept every now and then. She only went potty when we stopped for gas, which was amazing to me. She got potty trained in April and this was our first long trip with her potty trained so I wasn't sure how it would go, but it was a big success!
When we got to Grandma and Grandpa's (Bapa) house Emily was so excited she wouldn't go back to sleep, so Grandma and Emily started their day at 4:30 in the morning. I am very grateful that Grandma was willing to stay up with her!

This picture was taken before she got upset. Becky was showing her the water.
This is Emily with my cousin Greg's wife, Stephanie. Stephanie couldn't get enough of Emily and Emily loved talking to her and telling her all kinds of stories.

How fun that you were able to visit family! It looks like you had a really good time. Every time I see pictures of Emily, I am amazed by her incredible hair. It is really something.
