July 2009

We finally have Internet again!
So, here's an update on our lives. We closed on our house on July 24th and started moving in immediately. We finished signing the papers at 5:30 and we had to get all our stuff out of the storage shed by 8 that night otherwise we would have been charged for another month. We barely made it. Then we came home, ate dinner, set up Emily's crib and our bed and went to sleep. We love having our own home! It's so nice to not hear noises from downstairs, or worry about how much noise we are making. Emily can scream and J.R. can stomp across the floor and case her without anyone caring. We love having a back yard too! Pebbles has enjoyed the space and Emily loves the trampoline that the previous owners left.
So here are a few pictures from July
Emily and Laura riding in a cute little train during Jonesborough Days on July 3rd.
They set up a bunch of booths and have all kinds of activities on main street in Jonesborough July 3-5th. It's a lot of fun. We will probably go again next year. Emily wasn't so sure about the train while we were on it but once we got off she wanted to get back on so I think she liked it.

Emily with Pebbles ball and her sippy cup in the yard of the place we were staying before we moved into our house. She was trying to play fetch with Pebbles but she kept running away with the ball in her hand.

Emily and Pebbles
They have so much fun together! They also get into a lot of trouble together! Now that we are in our house Emily loves to let Pebbles inside and then she runs to her room and calls our "Doggy!" until he comes running and then she shuts the door to her room so they can play together. Pebbles is not supposed to come in the house but she always wants him to.

Emily on the swing at the Nichol's house. She loves to swing, but for some reason she doesn't ever smile while she is on one. Maybe she gets too relaxed.

The Nichol's kept their house very hot at night so my Mom made Emily some pajama's that were nice and cool. She slept much better once we got them.

Emily playing in our very own cupboards! Yay! She is holding Daddy's empty Sprite bottle. J.R. got her hooked on it. Whenever we go out to eat he gets Sprite just because he knows she likes it a lot and he loves to share it with her.

Emily sitting in a kitchen drawer. We baby proofed after she went to bed that night and the next day when she tried to get into the cupboards and drawers and discovered that they didn't open she said "nohoho" in such a sad voice I actually felt bad for doing it!

Dump! One of her favorite words right now is dump. Usually it's ok because it's just dumping toys out of a bucket or filling up and dumping a cup of water in the bath tub but occasionally it is bad and it's hard to be upset with her because it's so cute to hear her say Dump.
